For July 4: Summer Reading Lists from the U.S.

Because I’ve been celebrating Canada Day, I’ve posted about Canadian books and Canadian summer reading lists.  I do, however, read reviews in a number of American publications.  On July 4, Independence Day in the U.S., I thought I’d mention the summer reading lists from 5 American sources:

Kirkus Reviews has two lists.  One is entitled “10 Summer Reads Everyone is Talking About”: https://www.kirkusreviews.com/lists/10-summer-reads-everyone-talking-about/.  And though many book clubs do not meet over the summer, Kirkus Reviews also offers 11 summer reads for book clubs:  https://www.kirkusreviews.com/lists/11-excellent-summer-reads-your-book-club/.

The Chicago Tribune offers 30 suggestions:
