Another Literary Vacation: A Stay in a Bookish Hotel

It’s now February but spring is still a few weeks away.  To help dispel the winter blues, I thought I’d blog about another destination for book lovers.

I’ve already written about vacationing in Scotland and running a bookstore for a week (http://schatjesshelves.blogspot.ca/2016/02/a-bookshop-holiday.html) and about staying in a Welsh library (http://schatjesshelves.blogspot.ca/2017/01/a-literary-vacation-stay-in-welsh.html).

My next suggestion is staying at the Literary Man Hotel in Óbidos, Portugal.  It boasts a collection of about 50,000 books in a wide variety of genres.
Travel and Leisure magazine has some great photos of the hotel:  http://www.travelandleisure.com/hotels-resorts/boutique-hotels/literary-man-hotel-portugal?xid=soc_socialflow_facebook_tl.  And for more information about the hotel, check out its website at http://www.theliteraryman.pt/en/.
