"Border" Literature

I’m always looking for lists of books organized by theme so my interest was piqued by a list compiled by The Guardian newspaper:  “Top Ten Books about Borders”.  The books examine what happens when boundaries – physical, political and psychological – are crossed:  https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/oct/19/top-10-books-about-borders.

One of the books recommended is Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, and it often appears on lists of books to read during Donald Trump’s presidency.

And because Donald Trump is fixated on building a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico, I thought I’d share Literary Hub’s list of “15 Books by Contemporary Mexican Writers That Make America Greater”.  Emily Temple argues this is literature Americans want and need within their borders and, fortunately, a wall cannot keep literature out.  Here’s her list: http://lithub.com/15-books-by-contemporary-mexican-writers-that-make-america-greater/.
