Books About North Korea

North Korea has been in the news recently because of increased tensions between it and the United States.  North Korea keeps testing missiles and the U.S. keeps sending threats.

Because the flow of information from North Korea is strictly controlled by the government, the country remains isolated and secretive.

Recently, Signature recommended a number of books about the history of North Korea, the Kim dynasty, and life inside the country:  http://www.signature-reads.com/2017/04/literary-look-behind-the-iron-curtain-best-north-korea-books/?cdi=321A47B09DAD4547E0534FD66B0AE227&ref=PRH24BB520913.

Of the books on that list, I’ve read only one:  The Orphan Master’s Son by Adam Johnson.  My review can be seen at http://schatjesshelves.blogspot.ca/2015/11/review-of-orphan-masters-son-by-adam.html.
