The British
newspaper, The Guardian, reported yesterday that a poem written by Anne Frank
for a friend is up for sale. The poem is
handwritten, signed, and dated March 28, 1942, just months before she went into
hiding with her family. The Dutch auction
house Bubb Kuyper expects to get €50,000 ($75,000CAN). See the complete story at https://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/nov/04/anne-frank-poem-handwritten-for-a-friend-goes-on-sale?CMP=twt_books_b-gdnbooks.

I took these two photos at the Westerbork transit camp in northeastern Netherlands. Jews were assembled here and then transported to concentration camps.
Anne Frank stayed in the hut (rebuilt) shown to the left from August until early September 1944, when she was taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
